CATFISH
Catfish are a diverse group of ray-finned fish. They are named after their prominent barbels that resemble cat whiskers.
Saigon Aquarium offer 3 types of Catfish: Corydoras Catfish, Pleco Catfish and Sutchi Catfish.
Maintenace:
Catfish are not very fussy about the water quality since they play a major part in maintaining the aquarium clean. It is recommended to change 15-20% of the water every two weeks.
Water conditions:
Catfish from ThienDuc Aquarium accommodate well to tap water, after chlorine treatment.
Range of pH: 6.5 – 8.0
Water temperature: appx 26˚C – 28˚C
Diet:
As for being an omnivore, they can consume a variety of food, from live food to frozen ones.
Behaviour:
Generally, Catfish are peaceful, friendly, entertaining, non-aggressive bottom dwellers, which can explain why they are a perfect match with the community tank. However, they can be timid sometimes. The fish can get on well with most other fishes.
